Staffcare is the technology behind the Cube platform
Lorica Online, the online benefits division of Lorica Consulting, has revealed that benefits communication software company Staffcare is the power behind its unique Cube platform. Since Lorica Consulting launched Cube a little over a month ago it has attracted huge interest across a wide spectrum. Staffcare has licensed its technology to Lorica and built the base of Cube, which has been handed to Lorica to further develop in-house and to customise for each of its new clients. The search to find the right experience was not a straightforward task. Tobin Coles, Director of Flexible Benefits and Marketing explained; “The team and I spent many months reviewing the market for a technology partner who could deliver a market leading platform, which we could then fully customise, develop and own in-house.” After extensive due diligence, he said, Lorica was pleased to announce a licensing agreement with Staffcare to use its software as the underlying technology for the Cube portal. Coles said Staffcare technology was chosen because of its ability to be configured to meet Lorica’s specific requirements and the breath of functionality with its flexible benefits administration software which complemented its extensive consulting and broking capabilities. “The Staffcare platform will bring together solutions from a number of Lorica’s business partners into one seamless application,” he stated. “This will make the concept of the Cube benefits portal a reality, enabling us to bring end-to-end solutions to our clients.” Coles explained that Lorica’s first implementation had been completed with client LeasePlan, adding: “And we have just started our second implementation for a client who will launch flexible benefits to its 1,800 Coles maintains that for a flexible benefits scheme to be successful, “it must be effortless to use for the employee and easy to manage by the HR team”. He pointed out that the Lorica bespoke online platform needs no additional infrastructure investment to deliver a seamless system that is secure, instant, workable and personally branded to an organisation’s corporate identity. He added: “We strongly believe that our award winning benefit consultancy and management expertise, scheme design, communications and administration support are the most important elements of a successful flex scheme. However, this can all be undone if the technology utilised cannot perform the basics of providing an intuitive user interface and robust reporting tools”. Cube is an in-house developed platform that is configurable to both an organisation’s benefit strategy and also any HR or payroll technology already installed. “For employees, Cube is about simplicity of interface and security of personal data while allowing full flexibility in delivering benefit choices that matter,” said Coles. “The journey to full flexible benefits is often best delivered in stages, which is why Cube is designed to allow organisations to take modules as and when they are needed.” Also, Cube can be configured to fully incorporate employer brand and identity. The experience and expertise of Staffcare, he said, ensured that Lorica’s aims were achieved and clients’ expectations were realised.
